One of the key challenges in designing nuclear power plant buildings and structures is accounting for wind loads, the accurate calculation of which is critical to ensuring the safety of building structures. This article presents the validation of the domestic CFD code LOGOS using a blower experiment on a building model and the results of calculating wind loads on the buildings of the Paks II nuclear island. Conducting a numerical experiment using the CFD code allowed us to determine the design parameters at all points in the computational domain, including the wind pressure distribution on the building facades. Cross-verification of this design problem with the commercial CFD code STAR CCM+ showed good agreement between the calculation results.
