519.61 Simulation model of information interaction in a population of agents
doi: 10.18698/2309-3684-2025-3-6784
The article describes a simulation model of information interaction in a population of agents. The purpose of developing the model is to create a tool for researching an urgent problem – information overload in modern society. It is believed that agents receive information from various sources, process it and form a "virtual image of the world" while they spend energy. In turn, they receive energy if the formed current image of the world coincides with the actual state of the world in the node in which the agent is currently located. Demographic processes and spatial migration processes are taken into account in the agent population. It is believed that all processes use energy. A series of simulation experiments are conducted to assess the survival rate of the population at different information flow rates, as well as at different rates of world change. In particular, it is shown that high information intensities do not allow agents to form the correct "image of the world", which leads to the extinction of the population.
