Member of the Scientific and Organizing Committee of “Workshop on thin structures”, “Second workshop on thin structures”, “Third workshop on thin structures”, “Fourth workshop on thin structures”, and “Fifth workshop on thin structures” held in Naples during the last 15 years.
Coordinator in chief of various projects (for instance, Project n. 219690 "GaKo2007Ca-Development of multiscale methods in planning of nano MEMS", within the "FP7-PEOPLE-2007-4-2-IIF" program, Panel "MAT”, euro 224.573,28).
Invited as visiting professor for one month in various French Universities: Aix Marseille Université, Ecole Normale Superiéure de Cachan, Ecole Polytechnique Paliseau, Université de Franche-Comté, Université de Rouen, Université J. Verne, Université Paris Est - Val de Marne. Moreover he spent two months at Zhejiang University (Hangzhou, China). Furthermore, he was invited as visiting professor in Carnegie Mellon University (Pittsburgh, USA), Indian Institute of Science (Bangalore, India), Mathematisches Forschungsinstitut Oberwolfach (Oberwolfach, Germany), The Fields Institute for Research in Mathematical Sciences, (Toronto, Canada), Tokyo University of Science (Tokyo, Japan), Universidad de Cantabria (Santander, Spain), 'Universidad de Concepcion (Cile), University of Zagreb (Croatia).
He was member of numerous Ph.D. thesis defense committees in Italy and French.
He gave numerous plenary talks in international conferences.
